David Douglas High School

MIKE partners with David Douglas High School to offer two programming tracks during the academic school year. During the fall semester, MIKE brings in mentors to provide students with health-focused programming. In the spring semester, MIKE brings in healthcare professionals representing a variety of healthcare career fields. Both programs are valuable additions to this diverse high school which serves more than 2,700 students on two large campuses in East Portland. From a total of 44 languages spoken, the main student languages include English, Spanish, Russian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Somali and Arabic.

For 2024-2025, MIKE will continue to provide our two-tiered programming, while expanding to serve more students at the school.
