Western University of Health Sciences
MIKE Health Club connects medical students to high school students in an interactive approach to mentored health education. During the inaugural year, ten first-year medical students volunteered for the program to serve 9th-12th graders at Sweet Home High School.

Warner Pacific University
MIKE Program is partnering with the Warner Pacific University (WPU), Department of Nursing, for an innovative training and service project for 9th graders at De La Salle North Catholic High School (DLSNC) for Fall 2021. The WPU nursing students are joining MIKE to mentor the entire 9th grade in DLSNC’s health classes to inspire healthier behaviors.

Funding Purpose: Expanding health education for health equity.
About: Since 1951, The Autzen Foundation has been supporting charitable work that makes Oregon a better place. Thomas J. Autzen, who helped lead the way for Oregon’s plywood industry, established the foundation with his son Thomas Edward Autzen. The foundation awards grants to social service, arts and culture, educational, and youth-centered organizations.

Funding Purpose: Supporting mentors to introduce high school students to careers in healthcare and related fields.
About: Since 2000, Juan Young Trust has funded grants to Oregon nonprofits for projects and activities enhancing the health, education and welfare of Oregon children under the age of 21 years old.

Funding Purpose: support mentored health education in underserved Schools.

Funding Purpose: Expanding mentored health education and programming.
About: The Oregon Community Foundation puts donated money to work in Oregon–more than $100 million in grants and scholarships annually. Since 1973, OCF grantmaking, research, advocacy and community-advised solutions have helped individuals, families, businesses, and organizations create charitable funds to improve lives for all Oregonians. OCF donors responded to the magnitude of need, as reflected in a 44% increase in donor advised fund grantmaking from the previous year, including the Fred W. Fields Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation.
