Sweet Home High School

MIKE’s partnership with Sweet Home High School (SHHS), located in Linn County, Oregon, began when Oregon schools shifted to online learning during the pandemic. Since then, MIKE and SHHS have expanded programming from a single lunchtime health club to a full-year mentored health program in two classes. MIKE partners with Western University of Health Sciences, COMP-NW, to connect first and second-year medical students with high school students. MIKE also partners with the community to host a summer health camp for students to explore a variety of healthcare careers.

For 2024-2025, this exciting program continues to expand with SHHS CTE health program and a team of physical therapy students with Western University of Health Sciences.
