Merlo Station Community School

MIKE partners with the Merlo Station Community School in Beaverton to serve students who face many challenges in trying to complete high school. MIKE began this impactful partnership in 2021, launching two cohorts at Merlo Station Community School to serve the Young Parents group and the High School Seniors group.

MIKE customized programming with a focus on nutrition-based lessons for the Young Parents group to help them develop skills they can use as they raise their children. For the high school seniors, MIKE brought in a variety of healthcare professionals to speak with the students, introducing them to a host of career options. Some sessions were so popular that additional classes joined in.
