Collins Medical Trust

About the Partnership:

As an early funder, Collins Medical Trust helped launch MIKE Program’s innovative health intervention initiative. The Collins Medical Trust awarded the collaborative effort of MIKE Program and Pacific University’s School of Professional Psychology with a grant in 2011 to research MIKE Program outcomes and present the findings in regional and national conferences. The funding provided Pacific University’s research team, led by Susan Tinsley Li, professor and director of the Child and Adolescent Track of the School of Professional Psychology, with the capacity for increased complexity in its research dissemination projects.

About Collins Medical Trust:

Founded in 1956 by Truman Collins Sr., the Collins Medical Trust contributes to medical research and education in Oregon. Funding is directed to aid, further, promote, develop, encourage and sponsor research, experiment and work in the cause, cure and treatment of human diseases in any field of medical research, and to aid, further and promote medical education. The relatively small grants are intended to seed funding for projects that if successful, go on to apply to larger funders.
