Volunteer Commitment Information
To guarantee a successful event and to represent your organization and New Seasons Market in the most favorable manner we ask that each volunteer be aware of the following expectations.
What to Wear
We ask everyone to dress in a neat and safe manner. This includes shirts with sleeves, shoes with closed toes and if shorts are worn, they have a hem.
When working in a food service environment we expect everyone to wear a hat or have their hair tied back off the face.
Where to Park
Each store has a different parking configuration for employees and volunteers.
• Raleigh Hills - Park behind the store.
• Sellwood - Park off site, either in the lot across Tacoma Street or on a side street
• Orenco Station - Park in the last row at the back of the lot
• Concordia - Park on the street not in the lot and not on 34th
• Seven Corners - Park on the street and not in the lot
• Arbor Lodge - Park on the street and not in the lot
• Mountain Park - Park at the back of the lot
• Cedar Hills - Park at the back of the lot
• Happy Valley - Park at the back of the lot
Smoking
Each store has a designated smoking area. The demo manager will be able to direct you to the smoking area. Please wash yours hands before returning to work.
Wash Hands Often
• Restroom - Wash hands before leaving the restroom.
• Smoking - Wash hands after smoking.
• Eating - Wash hands after eating.
• Money - Wash hands between money handling and food handling.
• Cross Contamination - Wash hands between handling raw and cooked meats.
Please wash your hands upon returning to the work area after you have left for any reason.
Vegetarian and Meat Items
Keep meat items isolated from the vegetarian areas in coolers or on the grill. Please keep tongs and serving utensils used for meat products separate. Customers appreciate this attention to detail.
Service
Please maintain an enthusiastic and helpful demeanor. Customers will assume you are a New Seasons Market employee and ask questions. Please help them in any way possible and if you need further assistance ask any NSM employee.
