MIKE Program

The Volunteer Orientation will take place from 10:00 AM-12:00 noon on this Saturday, February 17, 2010 in Room 11 of St. Vincent Hospital 9155 SW Barnes Road. It is the next building over from the MIKE Program office. Park in the East Parking structure, or arrive by Tri-met #20 stops at the door, or it is a short walk up from the MAX Sunset Transit Station.

Enter the hospital through the main (middle) entrance and take the elevator at the back of the lobby down to the lower level. Walk out of the elevator bay and turn right down the hallway. Go through the first door on your right, it will say "authorized personnel only". You will enter the service elevator bay and conference room 12 will be directly ahead of you. Conference room 11 is to the left down the hallway on the right hand side.

We will have a period of networking/introduction followed by a brief slide show and some hands-on orientation followed by Q & A to establish next steps.

DONATE your items! To arrange for drop-off of smaller items at the MIKE Program office on SW Barnes Rd. Portland, or for pick-up of larger awkward items you can’t deliver, please call 503-296-7705 and leave a message or email to info@mikeprogram.org with contact information.

Do your spring cleaning in time to make room for your new purchases. We would love to help you find a new home for all your garage sale worthy items: vinyl records, CD’s, old greeting cards, used and unused, vintage magazines (not National Geographic, please), tools, kitchen items, furniture, toys, books, etc. We are not accepting electronics (i.e. televisions, computers, keyboards, scanners etc.), and home exercise systems (i.e. treadmills, Nordic Track, Elliptical trainers, etc.). We are happy to receive other small exercise equipment (i.e. hand weights, exercise balls, etc.).

If you arrive prior to 11am general admission is $3.00 per day (Children under 12 are FREE). FREE TO ALL after 11 am! Parking is $7.00 per day.
